Dominick Cruz, Paul Bradley and Danny Martinez joined Newark Examiner MMA writer Joe Rizzo and guest co-host Hector Castro on Rear Naked Choke Radio from LA Boxing in Paramus, NJ.

We have the WEC covered, after a thrilling MMA weekend.  Dominick Cruz might be in line for a title shot at bantamweight against new champ Brian Bowles.  Ben Henderson will face Donald Cerrone for the interim lightweight title Sept. 2.

Joe & Ted’s special Thursday night show featured WEC 40 winner Dominick Cruz, who improved his career record to 13-1 with his only loss to Urijah Faber.

The Dominator gave the background of the controversial ending to his fight, explaining that his opponent was playing an accidental knee blow for all it was worth in trying to secure a disqualification victory or no contest.  Dominick also gave a lot of info about coming up the ranks from Tucson and then moving on to San Diego, where he trains with Brandon Vera and Diego Sanchez.

Big Poppa Schnake is a ring announcer and personality who has been with MMA from the grass roots level and has more stories that you can imagine.

Schnake talked about the greatest fights he has ever seen (and almost no one else has, either) and his other projects.  Big props to Big Poppa for being forthright about his incarceration – as he nears the end of a 90-day sentence serving two days a week.  This is one of the most interesting stories in the history of the show.

Erin Jade had the tough task of following Big Poppa, but she held her own, relying not only on her good looks but also on her ability to speak backward.
