RNC Radio was live Wednesday from LA Boxing in Paramus, NJ.  Joe Rizzo was joined by new co-host Damian Ross, and the pair welcomed Strikeforce fighters Zoila Frausto and Jay Hieron.

Frausto, brought to RNC Radio by our friends at FightChix, is fighting Miesha Tate in a 135-pound bout Friday, March 26.  There has been plenty of talk about this fight and we addressed all of it.  Zoila was a bad girl (sometimes) in high school, and she used to get crazy in Vegas.  Hear about her exploits!

Hieron has been at the front of the line for a chance at Nick Diaz’s welterweight belt, but somehow was passed over.  He gave his thoughts about the snubbing and the latest on his contract status. Jay also was a top-flight wrestler before going into MMA and reviews some key points in his career, including an arrest while wrestling for Hofstra that changed his life.

If you do not know Damian, he is the founder of The Self Defense Company with a noteworthy background in wrestling and judo.

Thiago Alves joined Rear Naked Choke Radio for the first time. Joe Rizzo was live cageside from LA Boxing in Paramus, NJ. First he talked to Thiago, then he made the big announcement. You’ll have to listen to find out what it was.

Alves is 16-6, but had won seven straight fights before falling to Georges St-Pierre for the welterweight title at UFC 100 in July. Alves takes on Jon Fitch at UFC 111 in Newark on March 27, looking to avenge his loss to him from 2006. The fight originally was scheduled for UFC 107.

Second Guest: Zak Jensen, a TUF 10 castmember, just had his first fight since the show and talked about his victory and his hair (he lost a bet with Joe). Zak also used to co-host with Joe. He did a popular TUF 10 recap during the running of the reality series and has a friend on the new cast.
